This Privacy Policy describes how Portingen Technologies LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of IntSeaJobs (the "Platform"), collects, uses, stores, and discloses information about users of our website and mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing your personal data in compliance with applicable law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the privacy requirements of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
By accessing or using IntSeaJobs, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

For GDPR purposes, if you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, Portingen Technologies LLC acts as data controller. Where required by law, we will appoint an EU or UK representative and notify you accordingly.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account registration data: Name, email address, password, nationality, date of birth, country of residence.
- Seafarer profile data: Rank, vessel types, years of experience, employment history, next availability date, preferred contract length, salary expectations.
- Maritime certification documents: Scanned copies or images of STCW certificates, CoC (Certificate of Competency), GMDSS, medical certificates (ENG1 or equivalent), endorsements, and other professional licences you choose to upload.
- Employer data: Company name, registered business number, contact person details, fleet type, billing information.
- Communications: Messages sent through our in-platform messaging system, support enquiries, and feedback submissions.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and session duration.
- Log data: Server logs recording your interactions with the Platform, including login timestamps and job application events.
- Cookies and similar technologies: See Section 8 (Cookies) below.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- If you sign in using a third-party OAuth provider (e.g., Google, Apple), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider, subject to your privacy settings with them.
- Employers may provide additional information about candidates as part of the recruitment process.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: To create and manage your account, match seafarers with job opportunities, and facilitate the hiring process between seafarers and employers.
- Legitimate interests: To improve Platform functionality, prevent fraud, ensure security, and conduct anonymized analytics to understand how the Platform is used.
- Legal obligation: To comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, and maintain required records.
- Consent: To send promotional emails and push notifications about new job listings, Platform features, or partner offers — where you have opted in. You may withdraw consent at any time.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human review.
4. How We Share Your Information
- With employers (when you apply): When you submit a job application, your profile data — including name, rank, certificates, and experience — is shared with the prospective employer.
- With seafarers (when you post a job): Your company name, job listing details, and contact information are visible to registered seafarers.
- Service providers: We engage trusted third-party processors (cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics) who are contractually bound to process your data only on our instructions and in compliance with applicable law.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of IntSeaJobs, its users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to the same privacy protections.
5. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. For transfers of EEA or UK personal data to third countries, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), as applicable.
6. Data Retention
- Active accounts: We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active.
- Closed accounts: Following account deletion, we retain anonymized or aggregated data indefinitely. Identifiable personal data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days of account closure, unless a longer retention period is required by law (e.g., financial records retained for 7 years).
- Job applications: Application records are retained for 12 months after the application is closed or the position is filled, after which they are deleted.
- Uploaded documents: Seafarer certificate images are deleted within 90 days of account closure.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Right to restriction: Request that we limit our processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes.
- Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- CCPA rights (California residents): Right to know, right to delete, right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data), and right to non-discrimination.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at legal@portingen.com. We will respond within 30 days (or as required by applicable law). We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies
We use the following categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary: Required for the Platform to function (session management, login state). Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics: Help us understand how users interact with the Platform (e.g., page views, session duration). Enabled only with your consent.
- Functional: Remember your preferences (e.g., language, currency). Enabled only with your consent.
You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or our cookie consent banner. Disabling non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to use core Platform features.
9. Children's Privacy
IntSeaJobs is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under 18 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us at legal@portingen.com.
10. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. These include encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure. We will notify you and relevant authorities of data breaches as required by applicable law.
11. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform and, where required, by email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the IntSeaJobs platform, including our website and mobile application (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Portingen Technologies LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, USA ("we," "us," or "Company").
By registering an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By accepting these Terms, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Use of the Platform by individuals under 18 is strictly prohibited.
2. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain the accuracy of such information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You agree to notify us immediately at info@intseajobs.com of any unauthorized use of your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe contain false information or are being used in violation of these Terms.
3. Platform Services
3.1 For Seafarers
IntSeaJobs provides a platform for maritime professionals to create profiles, upload credentials, browse job listings, and apply for positions posted by employers. We are a marketplace and are not a recruitment agency, crewing manager, or employer. We do not guarantee employment or any specific outcome from the use of the Platform.
3.2 For Employers
Employers may post job listings, search seafarer profiles, and communicate with candidates through the Platform. By posting a vacancy, employers represent that the position is genuine, that they are authorized to hire, and that the employment will comply with applicable maritime labor law, including the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006) where applicable.
3.3 No Employment Relationship
Portingen Technologies LLC is not a party to any employment, crewing, or service contract formed between a seafarer and an employer through the Platform. We are not liable for the terms of any such contract, nor for the conduct of any user during the performance of any contract.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree that you will not:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including fake certifications or fictitious job listings.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Use the Platform to harass, threaten, discriminate against, or engage in abusive conduct toward other users.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform without our prior written consent.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Platform or its related systems.
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Post content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Use the Platform to solicit users off-platform for commercial purposes not related to legitimate maritime employment.
- Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code to the Platform.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform ("User Content"), including your profile data and uploaded documents. By submitting User Content, you grant Portingen Technologies LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and transmit your User Content solely for the purposes of operating and improving the Platform.
5.2 Our Content
All Platform content not provided by users, including design, code, text, graphics, and trademarks, is the exclusive property of Portingen Technologies LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any Platform content without our prior written permission.
6. Fees and Payments
Registration for seafarers is currently free of charge. Employers may be subject to listing fees or subscription plans as described on the Platform at the time of purchase. All fees are stated in USD and are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated in our refund policy. We reserve the right to change our fee structure with reasonable prior notice.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to our collection and use of your data as described therein.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
WE DO NOT VERIFY, ENDORSE, OR GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF ANY USER CONTENT, JOB LISTING, SEAFARER CREDENTIAL, OR EMPLOYER REPRESENTATION ON THE PLATFORM. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THE ACCURACY AND SUITABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION YOU RELY ON.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PORTINGEN TECHNOLOGIES LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:
- Your use of or inability to use the Platform;
- Any job application, employment, or other arrangement entered into through the Platform;
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data;
- Any third-party conduct or content on the Platform.
IN JURISDICTIONS THAT DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR THE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IN ALL CASES, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Portingen Technologies LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.
11. Modifications to the Platform and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform (or any portion thereof) at any time with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on the Platform with a new effective date and, where required, by email. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at info@intseajobs.com. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform immediately ceases. Sections 8, 9, 10, 13, and 14 survive termination.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be subject to informal resolution by contacting us at legal@portingen.com. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted in English, with the seat of arbitration in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class Action Waiver: You agree that any proceedings to resolve disputes will be conducted on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Portingen Technologies LLC regarding the Platform and supersede all prior agreements.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
- Notices: All notices from us to you will be sent to the email address associated with your account. Notices from you to us must be sent to legal@portingen.com.
